Over the last 7 years as a wedding photographer, I have seen some amazing guest experiences. From live performances to late night snacks and everything in between, my couples know how to throw a party that their friends and family can’t stop talking about. If you’re here, you know a memorable guest experience is important, but are struggling to think of how to pull it off. Luckily, there are so many solutions! I’m Sarah, a wedding photographer based in Auburn Alabama, serving couples all over the southeast and worldwide. Find out more about my services here!
A drink to greet your guests
A way to WOW guests right off the bat is to have a drink station for them to grab a cocktail pre-ceremony! Arrival can be an awkward time if your guests are unsure of where to go, or what to do if they arrive a little early. Having signage directing them to a custom drink station right next to the ceremony space is the perfect ice breaker, and people will love it!
Have A Live Painter
Interactive elements like a live wedding painter can really create a memorable guest experience. Your friends and family will love seeing the progression of this custom work of art right before their eyes!
Creative Escort Card Displays
A memorable guest experience is all about your guests knowing what they’re supposed to be doing, and being entertained along the way. Enter: the escort card display. These are cards with your guests name and table number on them, so they know exactly where to head when they enter the reception. There are so many ways to make these fun & interactive! A favorite of mine are these custom fans on a hot summer day.
Have a choreographed first dance
This is such a fun way to wow your guests! You are already in the spotlight, so why not really go for it! Bonus: dance lessons serve as such a fun and unique date night leading up to the wedding!
Have a fun late night snack
After your guests have been dancing for a couple of hours, the hunger starts to strike again! Providing a fun and creative late night snack is the perfect solution to keep your guests in the party spirit. A lot of caterers offer this as an add on option, but you can also opt for a different rental like my personal favorite to date: the dip n dots cart!
I always love getting to know my couples and hearing about their plans for their big day. I keep an open line of communication so that we can collaborate on how to make it the wedding of their dreams, and how to create a memorable guest experience!
